Senior Legal Associate

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing funds work, as well as other general corporate matters, and providing strategic legal advice to clients on fund transactions, advisory services, and regulatory compliance for an aggressively growing law firm that is hiring the top lawyers in Singapore.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee funds work, including fund transactions, advisory services, and regulatory matters, as well as other general corporate work.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients on fund formation, structuring, licensing, and compliance matters, with a focus on private equity funds, investment funds, and other alternative investment vehicles.
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and regulatory filings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues related to fund operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers, including partners, associates, fund administrators, and regulatory authorities.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university; admission to the Singapore Bar or equivalent jurisdiction.

• Minimum of 5 years of PQE in legal practice, with a focus on financing preferably gained in a top-tier law firm or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of venture capital, private equity, and debt financing structures, with a proven ability to navigate complex deal structures and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with a good balance of IQ and EQ.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intense working environment, with a willingness to work hard and stay back when necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality legal services and meet demanding performance standards.
