In this Design Engineer role, you will oversee the technical and electrical design as well as execution of solar projects for expanding renewable energy initiatives in the region. The ideal candidate possesses a strong knowledge of engineering drawings and is proficient in using computer-aided drawing software.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical design for various renewable systems such as:
- Grid tied solar rooftop system
- Solar and BESS system
- Ground mounted solar utility system
- Develop and optimize the electrical design, including single line drawings, and photovoltaics layout of solar projects
- Prepare technical solutions and specifications for key proposals and tender submissions
- Review proposals submitted by EPC or sub-contractors
- Partner cross-departmental teams by providing feedback and technical/engineering input on their ideas and concepts
Requirements:
- Possess a Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Strong familiarity with international codes for solar engineering
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the solar photovoltaic or energy storage industry
- Sound knowledge of PVsyst, Helioscope, and/or other system design simulation tools
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a plus
- Comfortable working both with teams and independently
- Strong communicative and problem-solving capabilities
