Our client needed a Technical Sales Consultant to provide technical support for the sales pipeline of Process Automation-related solutions. The role required a niche talent with strong technical expertise in Control Systems, as well as pre-sales experience to effectively develop value propositions for potential prospects.
The client’s rigorous interview process also required shortlisted candidates to prepare and deliver a presentation to test their technical knowledge and sales persuasion skills.
The market presented to us candidates that were at both ends of the spectrum. They were either purely technical or exclusively sales-focused, but what the client wanted was a hybrid.
Citadel embarked on the search by conducting in-depth competency-based interviews with candidates to assess if they had proven experience in Control Systems and how they pitched for large-scale engineering projects.
