We are looking for an experienced Audit Partner who will be responsible for providing overall leadership and technical oversight of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements. In this role, you will lead complex audits from planning through completion, maintain audit quality, and oversee the delivery of audit services in line with professional and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert oversight across all audit engagements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, SFRS, and relevant statutory and professional requirements.
- Plan and conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and design appropriate audit strategies, scopes, and procedures.
- Review audit working papers and evaluate audit evidence to form sound professional judgments and conclusions.
- Sign off on audit reports and take responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of audit opinions issued.
- Lead, mentor, and develop audit team members, ensuring consistent audit quality, adherence to timelines, and achievement of budget targets.
- Review, update, and enforce audit methodologies, policies, and procedures in alignment with professional standards and best practices.
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients, maintaining professional relationships and addressing audit, accounting, and compliance-related matters.
- Respond to technical queries from clients and internal teams, providing guidance on complex accounting and audit issues.
- Support business development initiatives, including client retention and expansion of audit services, where required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Chartered Accountant of Singapore (Practicing Member) with valid audit signing authority.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant audit experience, including at least 5 years at Audit Partner level within a mid-tier audit firm.
- Extensive prior experience in a Big Four audit environment is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage and sign off on complex audit engagements in compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, SFRS, and statutory audit requirements.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, to support communication with clients from Mainland China.
